The opportunity to join a well-established Residential Groundworks company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across East Midlands and Lincolnshire. Specialising in groundworks for housing developments, working with leading housebuilders to deliver reliable, efficient, and safe infrastructure. Due to continued growth, the business are seeking an experienced and strategic Construction Director to join our senior leadership team and drive operational excellence.

The Role:

As Construction Director, you will have overall responsibility for the planning, management, and delivery of multiple residential groundworks projects. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a key role in shaping the business strategy, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strong leadership and direction to project managers, site teams, and operational staff.
• Oversee the successful delivery of residential groundworks contracts from mobilisation to completion.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Develop and implement efficient project management processes to maximise productivity and profitability.
• Manage client relationships, ensuring exceptional customer service and repeat business.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, and commercial performance, working closely with the commercial team.
• Contribute to business development and tendering activities to support continued growth.
• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across the organisation.

About You:

• Proven track record at Director or Senior Contracts/Operations Manager level within groundworks or civil engineering, ideally in the residential housing sector.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing multi-million-pound projects.
• Excellent leadership, people management, and communication skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and teams.
• A proactive, strategic thinker with the ability to drive continuous improvement.
