For several years, the MBAL has been shining well beyond the regional borders and is recognized at the national level thanks to its bold transdisciplinary approach that engages in dialogue between the collection and contemporary Swiss art. Very active through its numerous cultural, experimental, and inclusive activities, it collaborates with several other museums. It is managed by a very dynamic team and supported by the Society of Fine Arts and the Museum of Locle. The advertised position represents a rich and interesting challenge for which we are looking for a person who meets the following profile at 80%. Responsibilities:- Define the necessary measures for the development and influence of the museum.- Ensure the quality of activities and services aimed at various audiences.- Ensure the management and care of collections and represent the museum externally to ensure its visibility.- Work on its promotion and establish the responsible management and financing of the museum.Qualifications:- Master's degree in art history (or complementary qualifications in museum studies).- Experience in a similar position.- Proficiency in common tools.- Perfect knowledge of French and English, and good knowledge of Italian is an asset.- An extensive professional network in Switzerland and internationally (artists, press, public).- Ability to speak in public and good interpersonal skills.- Ability to set priorities and the capability to assert authority harmoniously within a team (6 people + assistants).- Sense of complementarity: The engaged person must provide clear excerpts from a clean criminal record and from the relevant office.Start date: immediately or to be agreed upon.For information: Mr. X, head of the Department of Environment, Social Cohesion, and Culture (DECSC). jid589111aaen jit0310aen jpiy26aen
