Connecting Projects

Help isolated adults feel more connected and supported through letter writing, writing postcards and/or telephone calls.

Role Purpose

• Provide companionship and social contact to isolated adults.
• Help people feel connected to their local community.
• Offer befriending in one or more ways: face to face, phone, letter writing, groups, dog walking.

Key Tasks

• Build friendly, supportive relationships.
• Keep simple records of contact (training provided).
• Optional: help with events/activities and help develop the service with AVC.

Training & Support: Full induction and role specific training (including safeguarding and communication). Regular reviews/check ins and ongoing guidance.
