Composite Design Engineer

Overview

We're looking for a skilled Composites Design Engineer with a proven track record in defence/ aerospace or other high performance/ secure sectors, utilising tools like Siemens NX & Fibersim to create cutting-edge composite components.

Please note due to the secure nature of the programme and products SC clearance is required to carry out this role.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced composite components using Siemens NX.
• Drive projects from initial concept to final design release.
• Support tooling design and ensure manufacturability.
• Contribute to design reviews and advocate continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet performance, weight, and manufacturability targets.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in Siemens NX (Fibersim CAD skills are also desirable).
• Deep knowledge of composite materials, lay-up techniques, and tooling considerations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage the full design lifecycle.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
