Job Description
You will supervise a team responsible for conflicts checks, client due diligence and new business onboarding, ensuring work is delivered to high quality standards within demanding timeframes. Alongside managing workflow, coaching team members and driving performance, you will remain technically involved - handling complex or sensitive matters and acting as a key escalation point for stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Workflow Management
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of analysts and administrators
- Allocate and prioritise workloads to meet strict operational deadlines
- Monitor quality and consistency of output
- Conduct regular performance and development reviews
- Support recruitment, onboarding and progression of team members
- Act as first point of escalation for operational queries
Conflicts & Risk Management
- Oversee and conduct conflicts searches and analysis
- Apply sound judgement to determine appropriate escalation
- Liaise directly with senior stakeholders to gather accurate information
- Coordinate approvals and manage sensitive issues professionally
AML & Due Diligence
- Supervise and conduct client due diligence and risk assessments
- Review documentation for completeness and regulatory compliance
- Escalate higher-risk matters promptly and appropriately
New Business Intake
- Oversee matter opening and onboarding processes
- Ensure compliance with internal policy and regulatory standards
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to prevent delays
- Provide clear guidance on procedures and expectations
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
- Identify process enhancements to improve efficiency and service delivery
- Maintain strong working relationships across departments
- Contribute to policy updates and internal training initiatives
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience leading or supervising a team in compliance, conflicts, AML or business intake
- Strong understanding of regulated environments and risk management processes
- Experience working with conflicts or compliance systems
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and managing expectations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise under pressure
- High attention to detail and sound decision-making capability
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
