Salary: £27,743 - £36,056 + Benefits

We're looking for a hands-on leader to oversee our Environmental Hygiene Cleaning contracts, ensuring every job is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This role combines team supervision, customer liaison, and operational excellence across ventilation cleaning, fire safety, and compliance works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead from the front - Supervise and coordinate compliance teams on-site.
  • Deliver to spec - Oversee works including:
    • General ventilation cleaning
    • Fire damper testing
    • Kitchen extract fire safety cleaning
    • Plan & prioritise - Allocate resources, set job priorities, and ensure the right equipment is available and ready.
    • Customer liaison - Communicate with clients to agree on schedules, priorities, and progress updates.
    • Maintain safety - Enforce Health & Safety compliance, complete risk assessments, and ensure proper PPE use.
    • Team development - Support training and mentoring of new operatives and temporary staff.
    • Equipment management - Keep all tools and specialised equipment in serviceable condition.
    • Quality control - Ensure all jobs meet industry and company standards while staying on budget.
    • Professional representation - Act as the company's on-site ambassador, always promoting a professional image.

Key Performance Indicators

  • 100% attendance - no missed jobs.
  • Zero aborted calls (unless outside your control).
  • No RIDDOR reportable incidents or vehicle accidents.
  • Risk assessments completed and followed every time.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in supervising compliance or hygiene teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, including chemical handling and working at heights.
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear, confident communication with teams and clients.
  • BESA Grease Hygiene Technician training (or willingness to complete).
  • Full UK driving licence.
