Summary of the role
Your responsibility as a Compliance Monitoring Officer role is to provide internal and external stakeholders with an objective view of the effectiveness of regulatory controls across the business by undertaking aspects of the Compliance Monitoring Plan. You will carry out allocated reviews on Diligenta's compliance with regulatory requirements, including Conduct Risk and the achievement of TCF-compliant customer outcomes. The role will require regular travel within the UK and possible travel to India.

What you'll be doing
- Undertaking allocated Compliance Monitoring assignments with minimal supervision, to required timescales and quality, and in accordance with Diligenta's Compliance Monitoring Methodology.
- Agreeing appropriate and cost-effective remedial actions with colleagues to address findings and meet regulatory obligations and TCF-compliant customer outcomes.
- Tracking and reporting progress on remedial actions.
- Undertaking projects and ad hoc activity as required by the Compliance Monitoring Manager.
- Establishing and developing effective communication networks and working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Contributing ideas and experience to enhance the Compliance Monitoring methodology and professional working practices.
- Acting as an effective ambassador for the function and promoting a positive image of Compliance within Diligenta and with clients.
- Demonstrating an understanding of conduct risk and compliance with TCF and Consumer Duty principles.
What we're looking for
- A good understanding of the regulated environment, including FCA requirements (particularly Conduct Risk and Consumer Duty), DPA, AML and other regulations relating to UK Life and Pensions business such as HMRC and tPR
- Strong understanding of the business and its stakeholders, knowing what needs to be escalated and building effective relationships to support joint responsibility for regulatory compliance risk
- Strong influencing skills, using persuasion and forming alliances to build support for the right ideas and solutions
- Skill in linking information, knowledge and experience to fully understand events, problems or issues, and in identifying different ways of solving a problem before making a decision.
- Confidence in promoting assurance and inspiring trust that regulatory risks are being proactively identified, managed effectively and escalated as appropriate, while setting priorities and targets that support Compliance and the wider organisation
- Clear and concise presentation skills, proficiency in MS Office, and experience in a monitoring or business support role in Life and Pensions (around three years)
