Compliance Manager

Compliance Manager | Reinsurer | Malta | €55 - 65,000 + benefits (doe)

Finitas are working with a fast-growing global reinsurance company, who are currently seeking a Compliance Manager to join their team.

Based in Malta, as the Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing, embedding, and maintaining an effective compliance programme within the organisation. You will be reporting into the Chief Risk Officer and have three direct reports.

Responsibilities:

• Implementing the Group and solo entities' compliance plan.
• Keeping abreast of regulatory developments.
• Ensuring compliance with various regulatory requirements.
• Reviewing company policies and procedures.
• Designing and delivering training programs on Compliance-related matters.
• Managing internal and external Compliance inquiries.
• Supporting team members in daily compliance and legal-related tasks.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Must have previous experience in an Insurance/Reinsurance.
• Must have at least 5 years compliance experience.
• Strong understanding of Finnish and Solvency II regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of Sanctions, AML, and broader Financial Crime regulations.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple locations.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels including senior stakeholders.

Please note that you must be based in Malta and you will be required to work in their offices 2 days per week.
