A specialist SEN setting in Forest Hill, Lewisham is looking for a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex additional needs. This is a hands-on SEN role for someone confident supporting pupils with more complex needs. This is a practical, hands-on support role. The school needs someone caring, resilient and confident working with pupils who may need communication support, sensory support, personal care or structured routines.

Role responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with complex needs, ASD, PMLD or EHCP-linked needs
• Helping pupils access learning and daily routines
• Working closely with SEN teachers, therapists and support staff
• Providing consistent, patient and reliable support

Required qualifications and attributes

• SEN, care, support work, school or youth work experience
• Comfortable with practical support
• Patience, resilience and strong communication
• A person who can stay calm and consistent throughout the day

Pay: £95 - £120 per day

Location: Forest Hill, Lewisham (SE13 5AF)

Start date: September 2026
