We have an exciting opportunity for a Complex Care Nurse to join our team at HMP Leeds a category B male prison located in Leeds. HMP Leeds is a busy remand prison, so we have a high turnover of inmates, which makes for a fast paced, challenging, but exciting environment!

Hours

This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week.

Salary

You'll receive an annual salary of £51,643 - £58,012 per annum - depending on experience

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

What you'll be doing

As a Complex Care Nurse your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a safe and effective transfer into the prison setting with the appropriate care package in place
• Work with the Clinical Hub specialist in the proactive management of LTC identifying patients
• Develop and formulate a "Complex Care Register" for the region
• Lead on the development of the RMPCC process

Qualifications & Experience required

• Registered Adult Nurse
• Current professional qualification (NMC)
• A minimum of 2 years' experience at a Senior Staff Nurse level (Band 6 NHS equivalent)
• Specialist interest in care of the older person/Complex patients
• Experience of managing your own caseload
