Completions Assistant - Residential Property

The OpportunityWe are recruiting formultiple Completions Assistantsto join the growing team of a highly regarded specialist property law firm inGuildford.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career inresidential property and conveyancing. Previous legal or conveyancing experience is advantageous, but the firm is also open torecent graduateswith strong attention to detail, organisation and a genuine interest in developing a legal career.
Candidates must be local to Guildford and able to commute to the office daily.
The RoleAs aCompletions Assistant, you will support lawyers and paralegals in progressing residential property transactions through to completion.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting withresidential property completions.
- Preparing and checking completion documentation and statements.
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, lenders and estate agents.
- Coordinating completion monies and outstanding requirements.
- Keeping clients and relevant parties updated.
- Maintaining accurate case management records.
- Monitoring deadlines and progressing outstanding matters.
- Providing a high level of client service.
The firm is looking for candidates who areorganised, proactive and keen to learn.
You may already have experience as aConveyancing Assistant, Legal Assistant, Property Paralegal or Completions Assistant, or be arecent graduateseeking your first opportunity within the legal sector.
For graduates, the key requirements are:
- Strong academic background.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and take responsibility.
- Genuine interest inresidential property and conveyancing.
- Positive, proactive and team-focused approach.
- Local to Guildford and able to commute to the office.
Previous residential property or completions experience would be highly advantageous.
