Community/Co-opted Governor

At Shoreditch Park Primary School, our governors play a vital role in shaping the future of our school. Rather than getting involved in day-to-day operations, school governors provide strategic guidance and oversight. This includes helping to set the long-term vision of the school, monitoring financial performance to ensure public funds are used effectively, and holding the headteacher and leadership team to account for delivering high standards for all pupils.

As a governor, you'll work collaboratively with fellow board members and the leadership team, offering both support and constructive challenge to help the school continue to grow and improve. The role typically involves attending around six governing board meetings each year, with additional opportunities to visit the school and engage with key areas such as curriculum, safeguarding, or inclusion.
