About The Role

As a Community Coach - Wellbeing, you'll use the power of Leicester City Football Club to inspire, support and uplift adults across our city. From delivering mental wellbeing sessions and university wellbeing cafés to using football as a tool for connection, you'll help people build confidence, resilience and a sense of belonging.

Key Duties
  • Plan and deliver wellbeing programmes, mental health support activities, and accessible drop in services for students, including international students, at University of Leicester and De Montfort University.
  • Provide a safe and welcoming environment, offering practical support, signposting, and referrals where necessary.
  • Support individuals to develop healthy coping strategies, build resilience, and promote hope, self worth, and purpose.
  • Respond to community needs, designing flexible, culturally competent, and trauma informed interventions.
  • Be involved in creating and maintaining partnerships with the VCSE sector, statutory services, and community organisations to create integrated pathways of support.
  • Promote a strengths based model that focuses on the skills and assets of individuals, families, and communities.
  • Safeguard the welfare of participants, ensuring compliance with LCitC safeguarding and health and safety policies.
  • Work collaboratively with the universities' student support services and wellbeing teams to ensure students receive the level of support required.
Who We're Looking For
  • FA Safeguarding Certificate
  • FA Emergency First Aid Certificate
  • Experience working with adults in a wellbeing capacity, or a community environment
  • Ability to develop sessions plans as required for targeted groups and evaluate your delivery
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent communicator at a variety of levels

You may be required to work outside of normal office hours, at evenings and weekends.

Location - LCitC is based at King Power Stadium, Leicester. The delivery of sessions will take place at partner schools / local community centres etc. Some aspects of the role will require homeworking; therefore you will need the ability to travel across multiple sites across Leicester and Charnwood.
