Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million with regional and national services.

You must have a live NMC UK pin to be considered for this post.

This is a permanent, part-time position with a shift pattern of Mon-Fri 08:30-16:30. (Please note the salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.)

Glasgow City HSCP serves a diverse population. Our services for older people and primary care include Community Nursing (District Nursing, Treatment Rooms, and community phlebotomy), Social Work, Rehabilitation, respiratory care, and mental health services for older adults.

The Treatment Room Service operates within health centres five days a week, on an appointment basis, prioritising care to respond to both planned and unplanned needs. The service provides skilled clinical interventions, health education, and health promotion to support independent living. It handles a high turnover of patients, including those referred from GPs, primary care, or secondary care, with caseloads derived from GP practices or specific geographic areas.

The post holder will deliver accessible, high-quality, culturally sensitive nursing care to patients aged 5 years and over within the treatment room, working collaboratively with the primary health care team and service users.
