About the job

The team deals with anti social behaviour, neighbour nuisance, environmental crime, highways enforcement and some licensing enforcement. The role involves patrolling in uniform around the streets and other areas for long periods of time, sometimes in the evening and at weekends, and engaging with all members of the Walsall community. Significant amounts of partnership working take place and there is a requirement to appear at court on behalf of the authority where necessary.

About you

You will have the ability to patrol on foot for long periods and be available for some evening and weekend duties. You should be able to deal with confrontation and have good interpersonal, time management and organisational skills. Experience of aspects of law enforcement is useful as the role involves taking evidence for prosecution and other enforcement outcomes.
