An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Community Mental Health Practitioner to join our Community Mental Health Team based in Welshpool.
Main duties of the jobYou will be required to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and to provide specialist assessment, treatment, and care to a caseload of people with severe and enduring mental health difficulties from within the local community.
The successful candidate will be required to provide care to service users within the legal frameworks of the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010, the Social Services and Well-Being (Wales) Act 2014, and the Mental Health Act (1983).
You must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible in approach, able to work autonomously as well as with statutory and non-statutory service providers.
Effective communication and engagement skills are fundamental to this role, along with current evidence-based knowledge and a commitment to working with individuals adopting a recovery approach and within a trauma-informed model of care.

Person Specification Qualification- Registered Mental Health Professional and registered with the relevant Professional Body
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Extensive knowledge of mental health issues
- Advanced knowledge of mental health legislation, law, and practice
- Knowledge of research-based and evidence-based interventions
- Advanced knowledge and application of Care and Treatment plans
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 affecting Community Psychiatric services
- Understanding of clinical governance
- WARRN
- CBT qualifications/Psycho-Social Interventions/teaching qualification

Salary: £37,898 to £45,637 per annum (pro-rata if part-time)
