Community Engagement Coordinator

Type: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week

Location: Manchester

Salary: £26,000 £30,000

The Role

As our client s Community Engagement Coordinator, you ll be on the front line of widening access to the University for underrepresented communities. You ll connect with schools, youth groups, community leaders and organisations across Greater Manchester and beyond building meaningful, long-term relationships that inspire the next generation of students to see university as a real and exciting option.

Whether it s delivering inspirational sessions in schools, leading community-led events, or designing engaging outreach strategies, you ll be at the core of their mission to disrupt the traditional education model.

What You ll Do:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with schools, colleges, and community groups.
  • Deliver innovative outreach and recruitment events both online and in-person.
  • Be a visible and trusted face of our client in communities across Greater Manchester.
  • Help shape a more diverse and inclusive student body by supporting young people from all backgrounds to take their next step into Higher Education.
  • Track impact and evaluate engagement to continuously evolve and improve what they do.

What They Are Looking For:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a youth-facing or community engagement role.
  • Energy, creativity and a natural ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the confidence to manage multiple projects.
  • A proactive, self-starting approach and a real passion for social impact.
