We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to clients and assisting individuals in their own homes. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively with both residents and their families.
Responsibilities- Assist service users with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to service users, fostering a positive environment.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients conditions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety within the home care environment.
- Drive to various locations as required for home care visits, ensuring timely arrival and adherence to schedules.
Working Hours:
We currently serve 3 clients in Tonbridge
Client 1: (Male carer only) - Every Monday & Friday (12pm - 1pm)
Remaining clients: (Female carer only) - Must be flexible for morning and evening shifts
We offer care visits starting at 1 hour, allowing us to build strong relationships with our clients and provide the quality of care they need without feeling rushed.
Qualifications- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written, with excellent communication skills.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively within the team.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles that involve travelling to clients' homes.
- A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to individuals in need.
