What is Mimo?

At Mimo, we aim to revolutionise business payments and cash flow management for SMEs and Accountants & Bookkeepers. Our platform offers effortless business payments with built-in credit, providing a cost-effective, unified payment solution. Mimo makes managing Money-In and Money-Out seamless, with control of cash flow.

We are a growing team of dedicated professionals and are excited to expand our sales team for the SME ecosystem in the UK. We're only 24 months old but have secured funding from leading angels and top institutional investors.

Role overview:

We're looking for a Content & Community Lead to grow and nurture Mimo's community of SME founders. This role sits at the intersection of storytelling and relationship-building, leading both our content creation efforts and our founder-facing community strategy.

You'll be responsible for cultivating meaningful relationships with existing and future Mimo customers, both digitally and in person. From hosting IRL events and webinars to engaging in founder forums and sharing their stories across our channels, you'll be the bridge between our brand and the small business owners we serve.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in social spaces, is energised by connecting with others and knows how to turn everyday conversations into content that resonates.

Your mission:

  1. Nurture and scale a thriving community of SME founders, connecting like-minded individuals and surfacing shared experiences, through digital and IRL events.

  2. Create content that tells their stories, translating those insights into blog posts, social content, email newsletters, and more to inspire, educate and entertain.

You'll play a key role in shaping how founders experience Mimo - not just as a product, but as a partner in their business journey.

What you'll do:

  • Lead meaningful conversations with founders about SME finances, funding challenges, and growth

  • Host and attend IRL meetups, panels, and industry events, becoming a familiar face in the SME finance ecosystem

  • Source andmanage potentialmarketing partnerships, ideating and initiating ways to collaborate

  • Turn community insights into compelling multi-media content across Mimo's blog, social channels, and email

  • Write short-form (social posts, email copy), long-form (blogs, interviews), and collaborate on video content ideation and storytelling

Work closely with the Commercial Team to align content strategy with growth, brand and product goals.

Who you are:

  • You're a natural connector and host across both digital and physical spaces, and love getting to know people, hearing their stories, and making introductions

  • You're a confident writer and storyteller with a voice that's warm, clear, and human

  • You're proactive, resourceful, and energised by the idea of building something from scratch

  • You've worked in a community, marketing, or content role before (ideally in a startup, media, or brand-led business)

  • You have a basic understanding of analytics and community/content performance metrics

Nice to have

  • Experience scaling community programs or ambassador initiatives

  • Familiarity with SME financing, accounting, or fintech

  • A personal or professional network within the UK small business or provider ecosystem
