Communication Manager - Payment operations

Job Summary:
The Senior Payments Communications Specialist is responsible for managing communications with key stakeholders on behalf of the Payment Operations team. This role also involves coaching and supporting team members within the Payments Communications Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and oversight on individual and team projects within the Payments Communications team.

• Lead and support training initiatives to ensure stakeholders are up to date on payments knowledge and understand the impact of product roll-outs on financial operations.

• Report on payment-related issues and act as a liaison between Product and Finance teams to provide visibility and resolve concerns.

• Serve as the escalation point for payment communication issues and contingencies.

• Assist the Payments Operations Manager in setting team objectives and measuring progress.

• Identify and map stakeholder communication and training needs through active collaboration.

• Support and assist in implementing change initiatives across teams.

• Proactively communicate with stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution and progress updates.

• Liaise with internal teams to understand evolving business needs and align communications accordingly.

• Contribute to internal projects across the broader Payments Operations function.

• Support ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

• Specialized diploma or bachelor's degree (or equivalent).

Experience:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in:

  • Project management

  • Stakeholder management

  • Communications in an operational environment

Skills:

• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

• Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Excellent time management and attention to detail.

• Demonstrated ability to work across teams and organizational silos.

• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial, proactive mindset and positive attitude.

• Strong influencing and networking skills with the ability to lead and coordinate stakeholder groups.
