Communication and Marketing Manager

Can you sprinkle magic fairy dust, roll sticky stuff in glitter, and keep ten plates spinning simultaneously? Great, this might be the job for you! We're an independent hospice charity based in Ulverston. We are loved by our South Cumbria/ South Lakes community, which is just as well because we only get around a fifth of the funding we need from the Government, which means we rely on local people to provide the money which covers the cost of care for eight out of every ten of our patients. With this in mind, keeping our community informed and engaged in our work is paramount, and the Comms and Marketing Manager plays a vital role in leading that work.

Main duties of the job

We're a small team, so although this role is managerial and strategic, you'll have plenty of chances to get your hands dirty and make a real impact. You'll be able to manage our social channels, write engaging content for both our internal audience and the press, shoot and edit videos, and lead on our communications / fundraising campaigns from planning to implementation and evaluation. You'll be organised, able to manage your own time and priorities, and confident speaking to stakeholders ranging from corporate donors, volunteers, fundraisers, trustees and even patients and their families.
