Commissioning Engineer required for Grid Connection projects

We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer (or Manager if senior) to join our grid connection projects across Ireland. Our Transmission and Distribution team are currently involved with a number of renewable energy as well as healthcare facilities projects.

The Opportunity
As our next Commissioning Engineer, you'll work closely with the project leadership team to ensure a safe and timely delivery of the projects for our clients. We require someone with a proven track record in the commissioning of power sector projects, such as substations and grid connection infrastructure.
Key duties of this role include:
- Management of project commissioning for Grid Connections projects.
- Inspect all installation works against the approved quality plan.
- Lead C&Q activities on site.
- Prepare C&Q plans aligned with client strategic goals and ensure their timely and compliant delivery.
- Develop and execute Commissioning & Qualification lifecycle protocols per project requirements.
- Lead and support SATs.
- Support and represent the technical quality team in meetings, troubleshooting exercises, and audits.
Key Qualifications Required:
- Electrical trade or engineering qualification.
- 5+ years experience in commissioning roles or similar.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Experience in High Voltage projects and familiarity with engineering processes and best practices.
- Good time management skills.
- Self-starter and decision-maker.
Desirable but not Essential:
- Formal H&S qualifications and training, e.g., 'IOSH Managing Safely' or similar.
