Job Description

As a Commis Chef, you'll support the kitchen team in delivering high-quality food across all hotel food and beverage operations. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone passionate about cooking and looking to build a career in hospitality

You'll work closely with the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and Head Chef to learn kitchen operations, food preparation techniques, and presentation standards. Your day will involve preparing ingredients, assisting during service, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are followed.

You'll gain hands-on experience across different kitchen sections while developing your culinary skills in a fast-paced and supportive environment. Your enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and positive attitude will play an important role in creating an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes to brand and quality standards
  • Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
  • Prepare ingredients, including chopping, portioning, and basic food preparation tasks
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety
  • Ensure correct use of kitchen equipment and cleaning products
  • Help with stock rotation and storage following kitchen procedures
  • Minimise food waste and support portion control practices
  • Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service
  • Learn and develop new culinary skills under the guidance of senior chefs
  • Uphold hotel brand standards at all times
