With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a destination restaurant, café/bar, and exclusive private dining rooms, The Bedford Hotel Belfast is setting new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.

Role Responsibilities

You will support the kitchen team in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen. As a Commis Chef, you will assist in the preparation and production of dishes in a timely and organised manner, helping to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests. You will take pride in your work, maintain high standards of quality and presentation, and consistently follow the guidance and specifications set by the Head Chef.

• Ensure all food is prepared, presented and served to a high standard and in keeping with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ensure ordering is accurate and all fridges, freezers and all food storage is stock rotated.
• Follow the specifications set out by the Head Chef to ensure consistency.
• Support the kitchen team, whilst maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the kitchen operation.
• Ensure that you are correctly dressed and adhere to high personal hygiene standards.
• Comply with all regulations as stated in the normal operating procedures.
• Ensure all maintenance issues are reported immediately following the correct procedure.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience working in a hotel kitchen, preferably as a Commis Chef.
• Solid understanding of kitchen operations.
• Passion for high-quality, fresh, seasonal food.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the team.
