Paramount Personnel is recruiting for a talented Commis Chef for our client, an award winning restaurant in Padstow, Cornwall area. The successful candidate will ideally have a proven history within a fast paced environment, from a luxury hospitality background, be a driven individual, and be looking to expand their culinary skills within a progressive company.

The successful Commis Chef will assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen, managing one of 4 sections, whilst being creative in sharing ideas on menu development. The Commis Chef will be passionate about locally sourced food, with all ingredients sourced from local suppliers to provide sustainable yet excellent dishes.

• Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your specialty


• Helping the Sous Chef and Head Chef to develop new dishes and menus


• Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety


• Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins

• Proven experience as a Commis Chef or above, from a similar Hotel setting.


• Excellent communication skills, along with a great eye for detail.


• An ability to work as part of a solid kitchen brigade, including other junior chefs, with a good team mentality.
