Commercial Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Service Engineer

Commercial Refrigeration Service Engineer required for Secker & Sons, Norwich, who specialise in the design, installation, and service/maintenance of a wide range of Commercial Refrigeration & Air Conditioning systems. We are looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join our team and work on contracts across Norfolk, Suffolk, London, and further afield as required. We would consider applicants living in Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire as well as locally.

Job Description

The role will involve reacting to breakdowns across a range of applications and manufacturers. Our client base spans abattoirs, supermarkets, restaurants, business parks, food wholesales to name a few. The successful Refrigeration Engineer candidate will have at least 5 years' experience completing service/maintenance tasks on a range of the above systems.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnosing, fault-finding, and repairing refrigeration and air conditioning systems
Participate in 'On-Call' system to provide our customers with 24-hour breakdown cover.
Encourage and assist in the development of junior engineers.
Complete company documentation utilising Joblogic.
Provide feedback to company management.
Provide a high standard of work.

Key Job Requirements

- 5+ years' experience completing service and maintenance works on Commercial Refrigeration systems.

- FGAS Qualified - essential

- City & Guilds Level 3 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning

- Hydrocarbon (6187) ticket, CSCS Card - essential

- IPAF & PASMA certificates desirable

- Experience working in commercial settings including Food Retail, Restaurants, and Large Office Buildings

- Good written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent customer service

- Flexible approach to working hours

- Full UK Driving Licence

- Enhanced DBS check will be required due to working within schools.

Salary & Benefits

- £35-42K Per annum based on experience

- Paid travel time & overtime rates.

- 40 hour week

- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (increased annual leave for length of service).
