A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Projects Solicitor to join the Birmingham office of a leading national law firm. Known for its work on complex, high-value projects with national importance, the firm is now looking to strengthen its team with an ambitious Associate or Solicitor. This is a rare chance to be part of a collaborative, high-performing team advising on some of the most significant public and private sector commercial projects in the UK, including high-profile government work and major procurements for high profile clients.

The Role

• Drafting and negotiating high-value commercial contracts, including financial and technical schedules.
• Advising on public sector and infrastructure projects across a wide range of sectors.
• The opportunity to get involved in public procurement work, depending on your interest and experience.
• Managing your own matters and leading on aspects of larger projects.
• Participating in business development activity, including tenders and pitches.
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members.

About You

• Between NQ and 4 years' PQE in commercial contracts, projects, or procurement.
• Excellent drafting skills (experience with the Model Services Contract is an advantage).
• A commercial, solutions-focused mindset and strong communication skills.
• Experience working with government departments or public sector clients is beneficial but not essential.
• A proactive, confident approach and the ability to take initiative.
