Our client is an established and growing construction contractor with a strong pipeline of work across Ireland. They are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join their team in a senior position.

About Your New Job / Role

As Commercial Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the commercial management of construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing project budgets, forecasts, cash flow and cost reporting.
• Managing subcontractor procurement and packages.
• Reviewing and negotiating contracts and subcontractor agreements.
• Managing variations, valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
• Preparing monthly cost/value reports.
• Working closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers and site teams.
• Supporting senior management with commercial strategy.
• Managing and mentoring junior commercial staff.

What You Will Need

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or related discipline.
• 7+ years' construction experience.
• Strong main contractor background.
• Proven experience in commercial management of construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts.
• Experience with procurement, subcontractor management, valuations, variations, forecasting and final accounts.
• Excellent commercial, negotiation and communication skills.
