Commercial Lead (SC Clearance Only)

Overview:
This role leads commercial procurement and supplier management activities for a specific business area (Corporate, Facilities Management, or Technology), ensuring alignment with the Bank's commercial strategy and procurement policy. It involves stakeholder engagement, supplier relationship management, contract oversight, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead procurement and supplier management activities across assigned category

• Partner with business stakeholders to implement procurement policies and supplier standards

• Develop and maintain a multi-year procurement pipeline

• Manage a team of category managers and grow capabilities in line with demand

• Oversee tender processes, supplier disputes, and strategic negotiations

• Deliver value through long-term category strategies and commercial optimisation

• Drive sustainability, risk compliance, and performance metrics within the category

• Ensure consistent use of eProcurement systems and adherence to internal workflows

Required Experience & Skills:

• Proven experience in strategic procurement and complex supplier management

• Strong knowledge of PCR-level public procurement and framework agreements

• Skilled in contract management and commercial life cycle delivery

• MCIPS qualification or equivalent

• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills
