Job Description
Due to continued growth my client is seeking experienced Commercial Gas Engineers to join their team.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance on commercial gas-fired AHUs, boilers, warm air heaters and associated gas appliances.
Diagnose and repair faults on commercial gas heating systems and HVAC plant.
Service and maintain gas burners, heat exchangers, combustion systems, ignition controls, and safety devices.
Inspect, clean, and maintain burners, filters, dampers, fans, motors, belts, bearings, and associated AHU components.
Perform combustion analysis and adjust appliances to achieve optimum efficiency and safe operation.
Carry out gas tightness testing, purging, and commissioning in accordance with current regulations.
Respond promptly to reactive maintenance and emergency breakdowns.
Complete all maintenance records, job sheets, service reports, and compliance documentation accurately.
Identify opportunities for equipment improvements and report potential failures before breakdown occurs.
Liaise professionally with clients, site managers, and subcontractors.
Ensure all work complies with current Gas Safety Regulations, Health & Safety legislation, and company procedures.
Participate in an on-call rota where required.

Proven experience servicing and repairing commercial gas-fired HVAC equipment.
Experience working on gas-fired AHUs and commercial heating systems.
Knowledge of HVAC controls and BMS interfaces.
Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance in commercial environments such as hospitals, offices, schools, retail, manufacturing, or public sector buildings.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturers' manuals.
Skills
Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
Strong understanding of combustion principles and gas safety.
Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Good IT skills for electronic job reporting.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Health & Safety
Work safely in accordance with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations, Health & Safety at Work Act, and company procedures.
Use appropriate PPE at all times.
Report hazards, incidents, and near misses promptly.
Maintain company tools, test equipment, and vehicle in a safe condition.
Desirable Qualifications
F-Gas Certification.
Electrical fault-finding qualification (18th Edition or equivalent).
IPAF.
PASMA.
Working at Height.
Asbestos Awareness.
First Aid at Work.
