The BusinessA multi-site, acquisitive £40m EBIT division within a larger Group, recognised as the key platform for future growth of the Group. With a clear ambition to double EBIT by 2030, the business is investing in renewable energy solutions, efficiency and recurring revenue models.
Working closely with the Managing Director and Group CFO, the Finance Director will shape and deliver the strategic growth agenda through commercial insight, disciplined execution and strategic M&A.
The RoleReporting to the Group CFO and partnering the Divisional MD, this role has full ownership of financial leadership across the division, including:
Commercial & Strategic Leadership- Own the P&L, Budget and 3-Year Plan
- Identify high-growth segments and drive profitable renewable revenue
- Develop new repeatable revenue streams
- Support strategic M&A, capital deployment and integration
- Lead the finance function (Controllership / Governance / Compliance / FP&A)
- Standardise policies, processes and reporting across EMS businesses
- Strengthen controls, audit, risk and compliance
- Provide robust challenge to the commercial and operational teams
- Improve working capital modelling and set clear targets
- Develop KPIs to drive growth, productivity and lead generation effectiveness
- Lead forecasting and articulate variances, trends and actions
- Review ERP capability and assess alternatives
- Support high-performance culture and develop finance talent
- Balance in-house vs shared service finance support
A commercially driven and strategic Finance Director with the presence to influence change and deliver growth. You will bring:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience
- Strong commercial acumen and P&L ownership experience
- Hands on, pragmatic and analytical problem solver who gets things done
- Skilled in building relationships and influencing across the business
- Exposure to M&A / due diligence is advantageous
