Commercial Disputes Solicitor

Amazing opportunity to join a leading Legal500 and International law firm as a Contentious Construction Solicitor in its Newcastle office.

I am currently working with a widely recognised International law firm to assist in the recruitment of a Contentious Construction Solicitor into its Newcastle office.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on your level of experience, you'll get involved in a wide range of work, including:

• Managing your own caseload of construction and engineering disputes, including High Court litigation, adjudication and arbitration

• Drafting key documents, handling correspondence and keeping the process moving smoothly

• Supporting on larger, more complex matters while taking ownership of your own files

• Using your commercial awareness to shape strategy and decision-making right from the start of a dispute

• Building strong client relationships and helping to deliver consistently excellent service

• Getting involved in business development and contributing ideas to the team's growth and strategy

• Developing an understanding of the wider firm's services and helping to strengthen internal and external networks

• Staying up to date with legal developments and continuing your technical and professional growth

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• The team is growing and open-minded about background and PQE level

You'll ideally:

• Be a qualified Solicitor (around 2 years' PQE and above)

• Have some experience in construction and engineering law, or a solid grounding in commercial litigation

• Be confident managing clients and handling matters independently

• Have excellent communication skills and a practical, commercial approach to problem-solving

• Enjoy collaborating with colleagues and sharing knowledge across the team

• Be adaptable, proactive and comfortable with change

• Have the drive to develop your career within a high-performing, ambitious team
