Position: Colony Account Manager

Location: Southern Alberta

We are seeking an accomplished, well-connected individual in the livestock industry to join our team. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for exceeding sales targets through new growth in your territory while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. A thorough knowledge of complete feed sales programs is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with Hutterite Colonies and other agricultural producers.
  • Promote and sell a full range of livestock feed products including poultry, swine, dairy, and beef feeds.
  • Collaborate with internal nutrition and logistics teams to meet customer needs efficiently.
  • Provide on-farm technical support and guidance related to feed programs, animal nutrition, and management practices.
  • Conduct farm visits to assess herd/flock health and performance, offering feed solutions accordingly.
  • Prepare and present product proposals, feed trials, and feeding programs.
  • Attend industry events such as agricultural trade shows and producer meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and feed deliveries.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets to support company growth.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in agriculture sales or livestock feed, preferably with Hutterite Colonies.
  • Knowledge of animal and livestock production systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Alberta.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work independently within a sales territory.
