Coffee Shop Supervisor

Job Description:

We're currently looking for a future Coffee Supervisor to join our team. The role starts with 1.5 months as a barista, giving you the time to understand our café, team, and service standards. You'll then transition into a supervisor position, taking on more responsibility and helping lead the team on a daily basis.

Phase 1 - Barista (Training Period):

Prepare coffee, hot drinks, and soft beverages
Take orders, serve customers, and ensure a smooth, friendly service
Keep the coffee shop clean, tidy, and welcoming
Help receive and organize stock (milk, soft drinks, dry goods)
Check expiry dates and rotate products correctly
Follow hygiene protocols and support ordering tasks (milk, softs)

Phase 2 - Coffee Supervisor Responsibilities

Supervise the team and daily shift operations
Support and train new baristas during their first weeks
Maintain hygiene documentation (Diary Book, Fridge Book, Google checklists)
Oversee maintenance of coffee equipment and report any issues
Act as a team lead in the absence of the manager
Ensure high service standards and keep a clean, well-run environment

What We're Looking For:

1 year of experience in coffee, hospitality, or customer service (preferred)

Energetic, organised, and eager to learn
Comfortable taking initiative and leading by example
Strong communication and team skills
Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
Well-groomed and professional appearance

Job Type:

Full-time, permanent

8-hour shifts
Day shift
Weekend availability
37.5- 40 hours/week
Two consecutive days off

Salary:

£2,200/month

French speaking is a plus
