Job Description
Co-Curricular Director - Summer School

Fixed-Term July-August 2026

The King's School, one of the UK's oldest and most distinguished independent schools, is seeking an outstanding Co Curricular Director to lead the Summer School's activity and enrichment programme. Our Summer School welcomes students aged 8-17 from the UK and around the world, offering a vibrant blend of academic learning, co curricular experiences, and boarding life within our historic and inspiring campus.

In this pivotal leadership role, you will design, oversee, and deliver an ambitious co curricular programme including social events, enrichment sessions, and excursions. You will lead and support a team of Activity Leaders, ensuring activities are safe, engaging, inclusive, and aligned with the school's ethos. From planning risk assessed excursions to creating memorable on site events, you will play a key part in shaping the cultural and social heartbeat of the Summer School.

You will foster a warm, supportive environment that prioritises student wellbeing, while modelling professionalism, empathy, and high standards. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, alongside experience managing youth, enrichment, or co curricular programmes.

Residential accommodation and meals are included.

We adopt a fair, robust and consistent recruitment process in line with statutory Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance. This includes online checks for shortlisted candidates.

Other: All offers of employment are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, references, and where applicable, a prohibition from teaching check.
