Clinical Nurse Manager2 - Resuscitation Training Officer

The Resuscitation Training Officer (RTO) is responsible for the provision of training and cardiac arrest management that is responsive to the needs of the hospital, ensuring that patients receive the highest possible standard of care and that staff are supported in their work.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, deliver and evaluate resuscitation training in the hospital.
• Ensure all training equipment is maintained.
• Stay up to date with best practice to maintain competence and professional development.
• Develop appropriate teaching aids and be available to teach and act as a resource when expertise is required.
• Evaluate all resuscitation procedures, techniques and equipment to continuously improve the quality of care provided.
• Be part of the cardiac arrest team when on duty.

Qualifications

• Possess 5 years of post-registration experience.
• Have successfully completed the BLS Instructor course and/or be an ACLS instructor.
• Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in an acute setting (e.g. CCU, ICU, A&E or similar).
• Possess excellent I.T. skills.
