Job Description

We are hiring a CNM 1 - Day of Surgery Admissions Lounge - (DOSAL) for a Hospital in Dublin, Ireland. We will provide exceptional patient care in an environment where quality, respect, caring, and compassion are at the center of all we do.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhering to the NMBI's professional code of conduct for nurses; taking part in defining the scope of practice; and offering competent guidance and leadership for nursing services.
  • To encourage providing high-quality care to all patients treated in the department.
  • To organize and make sure that The Day of Surgery Admissions Lounge operates smoothly and that resources are used effectively.
  • To provide services flexibly.
  • To create and launch a pre-admission phone service to support the admissions service.
  • To guarantee an effective flow process for the patients of the Day of Surgery admissions lounge, to collaborate closely and to communicate openly and promptly with the managers in the Theatre Department and in-patient wards.
Requirements

Must be registered on the General Division of the Nurse Register maintained by NMBI (essential).

Must have 2-4 years of post-registration experience in an acute healthcare setting (essential).

A recognised qualification or relevant experience in the specialty area is desirable.

A minimum of one year's management or supervisory experience is desirable.

Completion of a recognised management training programme is desirable.

Demonstrated strong clinical competence and professional capability.

Good IT proficiency, including experience with relevant clinical and administrative systems.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and use initiative.

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively and positively with patients and colleagues.

Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive in approach.

Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure in a busy clinical environment.

Evidence of ongoing commitment to continuing professional development.

Ability to interact confidently and professionally with staff at all levels within the organisation.
