Syntech Recruitment are partnering with a leading precision engineering solutions provider to recruit a permanent, full-time CNC Service Engineer.
Our client is an established Irish engineering business specialising in CNC machine tool technology and precision manufacturing solutions. Supporting customers across the medical, pharmaceutical and advanced manufacturing sectors, they are recognised for delivering high-quality service, technical expertise and industry-leading CNC equipment. CNC Service Engineer Responsibilities- Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding on CNC machinery
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipment
- Install and commission CNC machines at customer sites
- Perform annual servicing and preventative maintenance on CNC equipment
- Liaise with equipment manufacturers and suppliers to resolve technical issues
- Provide professional technical support while delivering excellent customer service
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Experience working on CNC and/or PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Basic understanding of electronics
- Good level of computer literacy
- Ability to read electrical and system schematics
- Full, clean driving licence
- Strong communication skills with good spoken and written English
- Right to work in the Republic of Ireland
- Experience working on Makino CNC machines
- Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Basic knowledge of CNC programming and Ladder Logic
- Level 5 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a recognised engineering apprenticeship
- Experience as a Mechatronics Maintenance Technician or similar within a manufacturing environment
- Salary up to €60,000 depending on experience
