Location: Chelmsley Wood

Salary: £18.00 - £20.00 per hour

Hours: Full-time, 6am2pm or 7am3pm, with an early finish on Fridays

Holidays: 22 days + 8 bank holidays

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator to join a growing precision engineering team in Chelmsley Wood. This role is ideal for a multi-skilled machinist with strong programming knowledge and hands on machining capability across complex, high precision components.

Key Responsibilities

• Programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines using Heidenhain and Fanuc controls.
• Creating, editing, and optimising programs using Fusion 360.
• Machining mild steel with some aluminium, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and high quality surface finishes.
• Managing coolant systems and tool life to maximise machining efficiency.
• Producing components on 3+1 axis and 3+2 axis machinery.
• Conducting first off inspections and ensuring all parts meet required tolerances.
• Maintaining an organised, safe, and efficient work area.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator in a precision engineering setting.
• Strong knowledge of Heidenhain and Fanuc controls.
• Confident using Fusion 360 for programming.
• Experience working with mild steel and aluminium.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
