CNC Programmer

FINTEC recruit is supporting hiring for a CNC Programmer/Setter. This is a permanent role based in Rugby. Working for a precision engineering business on day shift - Monday to Thursday 06:00 a.m. to 16:00 pm. An opportunity to develop further. Salary negotiable by experience up to circa £39,000

Responsibilities:

• Programming, setting and operating Sliding Head Programming
• Produce high quality components, working with Citizen and Star machines
• Programming and editing NC programmes for Fanuc and Mitsubishi controlled Sliding Head Machines

• Set up CNC machine tools and produce first off components to drawing specifications
• Prepare tooling and identify wear and damage
• Operate and monitor machines during production runs
• Carry out process inspections and record production data
• Complete TPM maintenance tasks in line with 5S standards

Skills and experience required for the CNC Programmer /Setter role:-

• Strong experience in CNC machining and Sliding Head turning, ideally on Citizen M Series and Star SR/SB/SL machines.
• Ability to develop machining strategies, select tooling, and create robust NC programs.
• Confident in setting up complete processes, including bar feeders, bushes, and collets.
• Excellent knowledge of materials, tooling geometries, cutting data, and measurement techniques.
• High attention to detail, proactive mindset, and ability to stay organised under pressure.
• A collaborative, professional approach with good communication and problem-solving skills.
