CNC Operator / Setter

Near Ilfracombe, North Devon Up to £17 per hour DOE 4-Day Week Permanent

Acorn by Synergie is working with a respected and flexible local engineering business to recruit a CNC Operator / Setter.

This permanent opportunity offers a 4-day working week consisting of four 10-hour day shifts, giving you a consistent 3-day weekend. The company prides itself on being a supportive, family-run business where you are valued as an individual.

• Set and operate CNC machinery to produce precision components.

• Work with CNC lathes and/or CNC mills.

• Operate vertical and horizontal milling machines (3, 4 and 5 axis where applicable).

• Operate CNC turning machines (2, 3 and 9 axis where applicable).

• Carry out quality inspection checks on finished components.

• Use measuring equipment including verniers and micrometres.

• Maintain high standards of accuracy, safety and professionalism at all times.

• Proven CNC machining experience (essential).

• Experience operating CNC lathes or CNC mills preferred.

• Experience with CNC vertical or horizontal milling (3, 4 or 5 axis) highly desirable.

• CNC turning experience (2, 3 or 9 axis) advantageous.

• Quality inspection knowledge.

• Competent using measuring equipment such as verniers and micrometres.

• Dependable, professional and detail-oriented approach.

• £13-£17 per hour depending on skills and experience.

• 4-day working week (four 10-hour day shifts).
