CNC Head Machinist

37 hour working week - Monday - Thursday 07:30-16:00 - Friday 07:30-12:30

We're recruiting for a skilled CNC Head Machinist to join a well-established engineering business based in Christchurch, Dorset. This is a great opportunity to work with modern Citizen machinery in a stable, full-time position with a strong work-life balance and early finishes every Friday.

• You'll earn £19-£23 per hour, depending on experience

• You'll work a 37-hour week with an early Friday EVERY finish

• You'll benefit from 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays

• You'll enjoy a consistent Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

• Programming, setting and operating Citizen sliding head machines

• Producing high-precision components to engineering drawings

• Working on Citizen M32 and Citizen K16 machines

• Carrying out quality checks to maintain high standards

• Supporting continuous improvement on the shop floor

To be successful as a CNC Head Machinist, you'll ideally have:

• Experience with Citizen sliding head machines

• Programming, setting and operating experience (or strong setting/operator background)

• A good understanding of precision engineering and tolerances

• A proactive and reliable approach to work
