Shift Pattern/Working Hours

'Double days (earlies and lates rotated weekly:

Week 1: Earlies - Monday- Thursday 6am-1.30pm/Friday 6am-1pm
Week 2: Lates - Monday-Thursday 1.15-9pm/Friday 1-7pm

Morson are proud to be working in partnership with Safran Actuation, recruiting for a skilled Internal/External CNC and Manual Grinder to join the Aftermarket Team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast paced, precision engineering environment.
As a key member of the machining team, youll set up, operate, and oversee multiple grinding machines - ensuring high-quality output.

What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

- Set up, operate and perform basic adjustments to external, internal, and surface grinding machines.
- Monitor production quality and machine performance, resolving basic technical issues.
- Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers on new part introductions and cell development.
- Adhere to process layouts, work instructions, and compliance systems.
- Support First Line Maintenance and TPM activities within the cell.
- Support next job planning with tool/equipment availability to minimise downtime and remain on schedule.
- Actively participate in lean events and support continuous improvement.
- Follow all EHS procedures and safety protocols.
- Complete and maintain mandatory training requirements

Job Requirements

Essential skills:
3+ years of CNC setting and operating experience in a precision engineering environment.

Familiarity with CNC and manual grinding and inspection equipment

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.

Understanding of dressing and loading grinding wheels to industry standards.

Desirable Experience

Apprentice trained background.

Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
