Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Waldrich Coburg Large Surface Grinder with Siemens 840D control, ensuring consistent high-quality production.
• Produce complex components to drawing specifications, handling weights ranging from 25kg to 12,000kg.
• Interpret engineering drawings to ensure parts are produced accurately.
• Apply knowledge of material characteristics and machining methods to optimize productivity.
• Work with minimal supervision, effectively planning workloads to meet production targets.
• Foster a 'Right First Time' mindset in a quality-driven environment.
• Adhere to the highest health and safety standards while performing duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in operating medium to large surface grinders is preferred; however, training will be provided to the successful candidate.
• Proficiency in setting components, composite grinding wheels, jigs, and fixtures.
• Strong ability to use measuring equipment to maintain drawing specifications.
• Time-served apprenticeship certification is desirable.
