Cloud Data Engineer/Architect - Databricks/Azure/Fabric

An excellent opportunity has arisen for two experienced Cloud Data Engineer/Architect with over 5 years of experience to join our customer who are based in Warsaw and looking to hire on a permanent basis. Our client is looking for Architects to be conceptional thinkers, candidates who have done the techy stuff and still possess these skills, but who also have the ability to see the bigger picture.

Candidates will need to demonstrate that they have worked using a medallion architecture, as well as Kimble dimensional modelling. The successful candidates will join an experienced, high performing team who provide services in all areas of cloud computing strategy, migrations, data analytics, DevOps, App Modernisation and Cloud Native.

Engineers and Architects joining the team, will be responsible for designing and leading modern enterprise data architecture, including data models, workflows and end-to-end data flows from ingestion to presentation. You will define migration approaches from Legacy systems, improve data quality across domains, guiding multi-disciplinary teams and senior stakeholders to deliver target-state solutions.

The successful candidate will be a conceptional bring strong experience building data warehouses, lakes and lakehouses using platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Fabric, Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics and Python/PySpark. Therefore, you will need to demonstrate that you have a solid background with these technologies working in fast paced environments. Experience using Foundry would also be considered advantageous.

The role will be based in Poland, with the customers main site being in Warsaw. Candidates will be expected to be onsite 2 days per week if residing in or near to Warsaw, however, the customer will consider candidates further out than this, but with a requirement that they are available for essential and important meetings.

Location: Warsaw (Hybrid - 2 days on site, remainder working remotely).
Salary: Up to circa 30,000 PLN DOE
