Job Description

Clinical Trial Administrator, Lung and Mesothelioma Research.

Responsibilities
  • Support the clinical research team with study administration to ensure the efficient and successful delivery of clinical trials and other studies according to GCP, SOPs, trust policies and all applicable regulations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of data and relevant information into appropriate database systems.
  • Work with the clinical team to ensure prompt resolution of data queries.
  • Ensure data collection and eCRF completion meets current EU, UK and FDA legislation, Trust SOPs and Sponsor contractual obligations.
  • Design and implement tools and guidance for clinical trial data capture.
  • Regularly report on data entry status to ensure deadlines are met for interim and final analysis.
  • Represent the Data Management team at research meetings.
  • Prepare and facilitate the archiving of essential clinical trial documents and source data as per Trust SOPs.
  • Undertake office management projects as required.
  • Track tissue using RMH systems (as applicable) and upload scans to trial-specific electronic portals where required.
Qualifications
  • Educated to at least GCSE/A level (or equivalent).
  • Experience in working with databases.
  • Good understanding of medical terminology.
  • Previous experience working in the NHS or equivalent.
Skills/Abilities/Knowledge
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
  • Competence in research-oriented PC software including Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good level of spoken and written English.
  • Understanding of clinical trials and regulations governing clinical research.
  • Experience of data entry and data management.
Other Requirements
  • Able to work on both sites and be flexible to meet the needs of the role.
