Job Description

Join Our New Flagship Female Acute/PICU & Mental health Rehabilitation service: Cygnet Kenney House is a purpose built, flagship acute/PICU and mental health rehab service located in Oldham.

We are actively seeking an experienced, resilient, and dedicated Clinical Team Leader (RMN/RNLD) to play a pivotal role in shaping the culture, practices, and success of this service.

Full time (42 hours per week, including days, nights, and some weekends) at Cygnet Kenney House.

Developed in collaboration with the NHS to support women from the North West to be treated closer to home. The PICU and acute environments offer rapid access to care, supporting women to move quickly and safely into the most appropriate low restrictive setting. The level 2 mental health rehabilitation ward supports individuals moving on from the acute ward and receives external referrals from secure services, CAMHS, prison services, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Take lead responsibility for undertaking regular care audits.
  • Provide clinical leadership, coaching, and mentoring for the development of services.
  • Maintain excellence through clinical practice development and quality improvement.
  • Be responsible for a planned programme of support across your area of focus as determined by the annual plan for Quality and Compliance.
  • Be an active member of clinical working committees relevant to the role.
  • Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge and promote nursing.
  • Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete and maintained.
  • Administer medicines within healthcare procedures and Healthcare Commission guidelines.

Qualifications
  • Experience as an RMN or RNLD with a current PIN number.
  • At least two years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits, and demonstrate integrity in your role.
  • Good understanding of the latest nursing practices.
  • Commitment to patient recovery, effectively monitoring, managing, and reducing risk.
  • Compassion, resilience, and a dedication to empowering and supporting service user independence.
  • Ability to deputise in a Manager role.
  • Interest in leadership, research and assessment.
