An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a forward thinking, highly motivated, innovative, dedicated and experienced registered Mental Health Nurse to provide clinical leadership to our Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team in North Lincolnshire.
As the Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will have responsibility for the promotion and assistance in the maintenance of the highest attainable standards of nursing care provided by the teams through the provision of senior clinical support and advice to the team members, ensuring you are visible to all staff. You will have the lead role of coordinating the team from a clinical perspective across a 24/7 rota, including clinical supervision, group supervision and MDT reviews.

You must have the ability to positively influence and adapt to a rapidly developing service that is able to meet the needs of service users and carers.
Main duties of the jobTo provide clinical leadership, guidance, support and coaching to staff, promoting effective change management and strengthening of other staffing leadership skills.
We know that service users recover quickly at home, and you will be responsible for ensuring that this is done in a safe and specific way as an alternative to hospital admission. With these skills and leadership, you will be integral in ensuring that all patients under the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team will have complex, detailed and meaningful care plans, risk management plans with a view to ensuring that discharge is seamless between us and community teams. You will also be responsible for working with the Crisis House and Inpatient Wards to help facilitate appropriate and timely discharge. This will involve taking the lead with both our inpatient colleagues and community-based services, ensuring that the patient is at the centre of our care.

Person Specification Qualifications- RMNH current professional registration with NMC
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
- Qualification in non medical prescribing or willingness to undertake within agreed timescale.
- ENB 998 or other NMC approved mentor qualification or mentor qualification appropriate to discipline.
- Key skills in literacy, numeracy and IT Level 2 (or equivalent)
- PSI Training
- Clinical Leadership Qualification
- Clinical Supervision Training
- Demonstrable post registration experience at a Band 6 level within Acute Mental Health Services.
- Experience working with patients with complex needs and high risk behaviours in the specialist field
- Experience of working in the community.
- Experience of MDT working.
- Skills in coordinating and planning inter agency approaches in mental health care.
- Experience of assessing and managing risk.
- Experience of providing clinical supervision. Quality Improvement and developing practice standards.
- Experience of change management.
- Experience of working with statutory and non statutory agencies.
- Experience of working within a range of services.
- Experience of delivering evidence based treatments
- Ability to use initiative and work without immediate supervision
- To demonstrate effective leadership skills and act as a positive role model.
- Extensive knowledge of current issues relating to health needs of patients in the field of practice.
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding, empathic approach.
- Ability to work as part of a multi professional team.
- Understanding of the CPA process.
- Excellent assessment skills, including risk assessment, in order to provide nurse led diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Understanding of the importance of user/carer involvement in care planning.
- Detailed understanding of Safeguarding.
- Good understanding of Clinical Governance
- Good knowledge of the legal framework and statutory obligations under the Mental Health Act.
