Job Description

We are Hiring Clinical Nurse Manager II - Medical / Surgical Inpatient Ward for our Hospital client in Dublin.

( Permanent/Full time )

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Nurse Manager in overall management and day to day operations of the medical/surgical ward
  • Deliver and maintain high standards of patient centred care in line with best practice and hospital policies
  • Supervise, guide, and support nursing and healthcare staff to ensure safe and effective care delivery
  • Act as a role model in clinical practice, maintaining professional standards and accountability
  • Coordinate patient care, including admissions, discharges, and transfers
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and skill mix to meet patient needs
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Monitor and evaluate clinical practice to ensure compliance with infection control, health & safety, and regulatory standards
  • Support staff development through mentoring, training, and performance management
  • Participate in audit, quality improvement initiatives, and risk management activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure effective communication within the multidisciplinary team
  • Assist in implementing hospital policies, procedures, and evidence based practices
  • Deputise for the Nurse Manager in their absence
Requirements
  • Registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by NMBI (essential)
  • 3-5 years' post registration experience in an acute hospital setting (essential)
  • Relevant qualification or clinical experience within the specialty (desirable)
  • Minimum of 1 year's management or supervisory experience (desirable)
  • Completion of a recognised management training programme (desirable)Demonstrated clinical competence and professional credibility
  • Strong IT skills, with proficiency in relevant healthcare systems and applications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive in approach
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Evidence of ongoing commitment to continuous professional development
  • Ability to liaise and collaborate with staff at all levels within the organisation
