About the Role
RecruitNet International Ltd, a leading healthcare recruitment specialist for both domestic and international candidates, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Manager II - Emergency Department on behalf of a prestigious hospital in Dublin.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the delivery of safe, effective, and patient centred nursing care within the Emergency Department.
- Work closely with the Assistant Director of Nursing, Emergency Department Consultants, and nursing staff to develop, implement, and evaluate nursing strategies and service objectives.
- Provide strong clinical and professional leadership, fostering continuous improvement in nursing practice, patient care, and staff development.
- Support and promote ongoing education, training, and professional development initiatives for nursing staff within the department.
- Ensure agreed service plans and operational objectives are effectively implemented, monitoring progress and initiating corrective actions when necessary.
- Manage and supervise nursing staff, promoting a positive work environment and maintaining high standards of performance and accountability.
- Monitor departmental resources and budgets, ensuring efficient utilisation and responding appropriately to financial and operational queries.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programmes, and the achievement of organisational goals within the Emergency Department.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, professional standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Act as a role model and advocate for excellence in emergency nursing care and multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Current registration on the General Division of the register maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Minimum of 5 years post registration nursing experience in an acute healthcare setting.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience working within an Emergency Department.
- Minimum of 1 year's management or supervisory experience.
- Completion of a management training programme is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate high quality patient care within an Emergency Department environment.
- Strong IT skills with proficiency in relevant clinical and administrative systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities, with the capacity to effectively engage and motivate both staff and patients.
- Proven ability to perform efficiently in a fast paced and high pressure environment.
- Ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate effectively with staff at all levels across the organisation.
